For UG Course:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have qualified their 12th examination from any recognized board or university.

Age limit: Candidates age must not be more than 24 years old as on 1st August 2023 (5 years relaxation) will be offered to the reserved category candidate.

Board Appearing: Appearing candidates will be also eligible to apply. But must furnish the required documents and should meet the eligibility criteria, as per.

For PG Course:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have qualified Bachelor’s degree in relevant field to be eligible for PG level courses.

Age limit: There is no age limit to apply.

Appearing: One appearing in the qualifying exam in year 2023, will be also eligible to apply. But must furnish the required documents and should meet the eligibility criteria, as per.

NIFT 2023 Course Program-wise Eligibility

For Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Degree Course Program:

• Candidates should have completed a 10+2 Board or equivalent exam from a recognized board/ institute.
• Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply.
• Candidates who passed or appeared in the SSC examination (10+2) with five subjects from National Open School can apply.
• Three years diploma holder will be eligible to apply.
• The age of the candidate should not exceed 23 years.
• Five-year relaxation to the reserved category candidates will be given as per rules.

For Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) Degree Course Program:

• Candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
• Candidates having 3 years diploma in Engineering will also be eligible to apply.
• The age of the applicant should not be more than 23 years (5-year relaxation to SC/ ST/ PH candidates).

For Master of Design (M.Des) Degree Course Program:

• No age limit is prescribed for PG courses.
• Candidates having B. Des. degree from a recognized institute or university OR having a diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID are eligible.
• Students who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.

For Master of Fashion (MFM) Degree Course Program:

• Having an undergraduate degree from a recognized institute or university in any discipline can apply OR having UG Diploma of 3 years duration from NIFT/NID.
• No age limit fixed.

For Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.) Degree Course Program:

• Having B. F. Tech. degree from NIFT are eligible to apply.
• Passed in B.E./B.Tech. from a recognized institute or university by law can apply.
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.

NIFT 2023 Entrance Exam Pattern

The General Ability Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), and Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI) will include the NIFT 2023 exam pattern. All course programs requires you to qualify the GAT mandatorily, and applicants who are chosen for the B.Des. and M.Des. programs must take the CAT exam after the GAT. Candidates who receive passing marks in the written exam must take the GD/PI (for M.Des.) and Situation test (for B.Des).
