NIFT entrance examination is conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology to shortlist candidates for courses like BDes, BFtech, MFM, MFTech, and so on, offered at the NIFT campus. Although the NIFT entrance exam is not on a high difficulty level, but one needs to be highly creative to crack the NIFT entrance exam.

To clear the NIFT Entrance, you must have a clear thought on how practically you think. Remember, they do not look for your drawing skills, but your strong and valuable concept. Coming to your question, which type of sketch should be learned to clear the NIFT entrance exam?

Well, I would suggest you start from the basic strokes and then move on to drawing straight lines without scales. Trust me, that's one hard talent. Other than that, you can practice the following for perspective drawings.

  • Human figures
  • Still life objects
  • Posters, logos, and banners
  • Design based questions
  • Sense of color

NIFT paper for sketching is set in a way that a candidate may be asked questions from anywhere on any topic just to judge on your observation level.

All the best!
