NIFT conducts examinations in 2 rounds. The first round consists of GAT and CAT papers.
GAT stands for general aptitude test and encompasses topics from Mathematics, logical reasoning, general knowledge, English comprehension and so on.
CAT stands for creative aptitude test, this particular paper is important and tests students on their creative skills with questions on topics such as Design ability, illustration skill, observation power, creativity, and innovative use of colors and so on.
Once an aspirant clears the 1st round, they go on for the 2nd round known as Situation Test.
