Hi Rudra! The application form for NIFT entrance 2023 is out already. Its been running from 1st November 2022. Application will end on 31st December 2022. Other dates are out too. Lets see whats in them.
WHAT IS NIFT?
NIFT stands for the National Institute of Fashion Technology was established in the year 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Its a Statutory Institute governed under NIFT Act 2006. NIFT is a expert Institution in fashion education which provide integrate knowledge, traditional arts, contemporary thought, academic freedom, innovations in design and technology and creative thinking. It frequently upgrade its curriculum in accordance with the changing needs of the industry. NIFT, today, has spread its wings across the length and breadth of the country with its 17 campuses all over India.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR NIFT 2023 EXAM
- Release date for application will start on- 1st November 2022.
- Application form fill up date will end on- 31st December 2022.
- The last date for online registration with a late fee- First week of January 2023.
- Admit card will be given on- Third week of January 2023.
- Exam will start on (GAT and CAT)- February 5, 2023.
- Declaration of NIFT 2023 B. FTech result - Second week of March 2023
- Declaration of NIFT 2023 B. Des result- Second week of March 2023
- Application starts for situation test 2023- Third week of March 2023
- Admit card for NIFT situation test- Third week of March 2023
- Date of Situation Test, Group Discussion, Interview- First week of April 2023
- Declaration of NIFT final year result- Third week of May 2023
- NIFT 2023 counselling- May to June 2023
Eligibility criteria for NIFT 2023 Admission-
For B. Des candidates-
- For B.Des. admissions, candidates must have pass 10+2 exam from any recognised board of secondary exam with any stream. But for B.FTech. candidates must have Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in their 10+2 examination.
- Candidates must Pass the Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by National Open School having a minimum five subjects of any stream. For B.FTech. candidates must have Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
- Selection will be done on the basis of NIFT entrance examination.
- Candidates must have done Diploma of three or four years recognised by AICTE. B.FTech. applicants can have an engineering diploma.
- There are age limit to apply for NIFT exam. The age limit is 23 years. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST.
For M. Des candidates-
- Students have to complete their graduation degree in any discipline from NIFT or any other recognized university which falls under the Indian Law.
- Students must complete their diploma course of minimum 3 years duration from either NIFT nor NID.
- Lastly there is not age limit at NIFT for any Post graduation course.
- Selection will be based on NIFT entrance examination.
