WHAT EXACTLY IS THE UCEED EXAM?

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a design entrance exam administered by IIT Bombay to shortlist candidates for admission to B.Des programmes at IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The UCEED exam is given at the national level once a year in 24 cities across the country.

The UCEED 2023 exam is divided into two parts: part A and part B. Part A of the UCEED will be administered on a computer, while Part B will be administered on paper. The UCEED 2023 exam lasts three hours in total.

Students with valid UCEED exam scores can apply for admission to the result-sharing institutes in addition to the UCEED participating institutes. These result-sharing institutes, however, will not participate in IIT Bombay's Joint Admission Process. As a result, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of the institute to which they wish to be admitted.

UCEED SYLLABUS REVISED (EFFECTIVE FROM 2024)

The syllabus and exam structure for UCEED entrance exams have been revised by IIT Bombay. UCEED's revised syllabus and structure will go into effect in 2024.

The question paper will be divided into two parts, according to the new UCEED paper structure: Part A and Part B.

Part A will be administered via computer-based test and will include three sections: NAT, MSQ, and MCQ.

Part B will include two questions: one on drawing and one on design aptitude.

Part B's question will be displayed on the computer screen, and the answer should be written/drawn in the answer book provided by the supervisor.

Part B has a running time of 60 minutes.
