What is UID examination? 

United world institute of Design is one of the premier Design Institutes among India. UID under Karnavati University offers B. Des and M. Des courses. For persuasion of these course UID conduct a Design Aptitude Test every year. This examination comprises of General IQ Test, Analytical Test and Creative ability. After qualifying Design Aptitude test, candidates have to go through situation test and portfolio evaluation. UID select their candidates on the basis of their performance in UID aptitude test. 

About UID Aptitude test: 

UID aptitude test written part include General IQ test, Analytical Test and Creative Ability. The test is based on Multiple choice and subjective and descriptive type questions with no negative marking. The duration of the test is for 3 hours which will consists 100 questions and full marks of the paper in 100 marks. 

MCQ types questions are generally comes from the subjects like:

• General Knowledge & IQ Test
• Creative & Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Ability/Numeracy Test
• Data Interpretation & Analytical Test

The descriptive-type questions in UID DAT basically test the following abilities of candidates:

• Comprehension
• Creative Thought Process
• Sense of Composition
• Sketching & Rendering
• Originality of Ideas
• Hand Skills

After qualifying in UID DAT written part, candidates have to sit for the next part of the exam which will consists two round. Such as- situation test and portfolio evaluation. 
Round1 : In situation test candidates will be given situations on the basis of which they have to make models. They will be also given some questions on they have to sketch and answer.
Round2 : In Portfolio Evaluation candidates need to appear for personal interviews wherein they need to show their portfolio. The examiners will evaluate the portfolio and judge the creativity of the candidates. 

Education qualifications for UID Aptitude test 2023:

• Candidates for B. Des under Graduation course, candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary Education (10+2 level) from a recognized board or university. They should have score at least 50% marks in examination. 
• Candidates for M. Des post graduation course, must have 10, 10+2 or 10+3 and graduation certificate from any recognized board.
