ABOUT UID

UID stands for United world institute of Design established in the year 2011. This Institute is one of the premier Design Institutes among India. UID under Karnavati University offers both under graduation and post graduation courses which is B. Des and M. Des. The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). UID has collaborated with several organisations such as World Design Organisation (WDO), Cumulus, IFFTI and The Association of Commonwealth Universities. 

UID COURSES

• UID OFFERS  4 YEARS OF UG COURSES SUCH AS -

Product Design, Interaction Design, Animation and Motion Graphics, Lifestyle Accessory Design, Automobile and transport Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Design, Interior and Furniture Design. 

• UID OFFERS 2 YEARS OF PG COURSES SUCH AS-

Industrial design, Visual experimental design, Interior and experience design, Fashion design, Textile and Knitwear Design, Fashion Styling and Communication. 

• PHD COURSES SUCH AS-

Fashion Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Visual Communication. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UID

FOR B. DES CANDIDATES-

• To take admission in B. Des courses, candidates must complete their Class 12 with an aggregate of 50%,
• Final selection of candidates will be based on the DAT scores and the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI)

FOR M. DES CANDIDATES-

• To take admission for M. Des candidates must have complete their graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university
• final selection of candidates will be based on the UID DAT scores and the performance in GDPI in case of M. Des admission. 

FOR INTEGRATED MASTERS PROGRAM-

• Admission to Integrated Masters Programme, BDes + MDes is done on merit basis

FOR PHD ADMISSION-

• To take Admission in PhD programme is based on UGC NET/ JRF/ TRF/ CSIR/ ICAR/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST/ GATE/ CAT scores
• Candidates, who have completed master’s degree from a recognised university
• Final selection of candidates is based on their entrance exam scores and their performance in PI and viva.
