What is the eligibility for IIT JEE Paper 2 M.Des?

Hi Dhairya, IIT JEE mains paper 2 and M. Des both belong to a completely different stream than each other. IIT JEE mains paper 2 is an entrance examination to take admission of those who wants to study under graduation course in architecture, whereas M. des is an post graduation program in Designing course. 

What is IIT JEE mains paper 2? 

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination, an engineering entrance exam conducted to get admission in various Indian engineering colleges and institution. JEE conducts by the Joint seat allocation authority. There are two different types of JEE- Mains and advance. JEE-Mains, or can be said All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), is an national level entrance examination to take admission to various technical undergraduate programs like B. Tech, B. Arch etc across colleges in India. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency. It is usually conducted twice every year.
JEE Mains consist 2 paper. Paper 1 and 2. JEE mains paper 2 is used to take admission of candidates whi wants to pursue B. Arch and B. Planning courses. 
There are total of 23 IIT, 31 NIT, 25 IIIT campuses and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), which take admission on the basis of JEE score. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR JEE MAINS PAPER 2

  • There is no age limit specified by NTA to sit for JEE Mains paper 2. 
  • Candidates appearing for JEE Mains Paper 2 must have Mathematics in their Class 12. Candidates must have pass their 10+2 examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject combination.

What is M. Des? 

M. Des or you can say Masters in design is a post graduation course in designing. This course provide specialisations in fashion designing, textile designing, industrial designing, interior designing, game designing, product Designing and many more. This is a 2 years course which include 4 semester. 

Eligibility of M. Des

  • To study M. Des, candidates first have to qualify their graduation degree in any stream,  it can be on design or architecture or interior designing and other courses from any university. 
  • Candidates have to score at least 50% marks in their graduation examination. 
  • There are many entrance examination to get chance in top notch colleges for M. Des.  For example to study IIT bombay-IDC candidates need to clear CEED examination and match the score with cut off.
