CEED means Common Entrance Examination which is for aspirants who desire to study Design. This examination is conducted by the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India which gives an opportunity to the aspirants who desire to take admission to M.Des - Master of Design and Ph.D Programmes. CEED assesses a candidate on the basis of the candidate's aptitude for design which involves visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
One can take admission into the following institutions after qualifying for the CEED Examination -IISC Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. Programs at several IITs and design schools.
Also, candidates who passed the GATE will also be considered for admission in M.Des programs offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur.
CEED Registration process is done in an online mode and so the submission is done online through their official website. The official website is as follows- www.ceed.iitb.ac.in
There are different registration fees i.e. -For all Woman Candidates it is INR 1800 + GST, for SC/ST/PwD Candidates it is INR 1800 + GST, for all Other Candidates it is INR 3600 + GST. But the regular registration mentioned is only applicable till the last date of regular submission. After the regular submission date an amount of Rs. 500 is applicable for all candidates for registrations submitted after the regular closing date.
