The last part of the entrance exam is the NIFT Situation Test. Candidates who have applied for the Bachelor of Design Program will take a Situation Test after passing the written exam, according to NIFT. The Situation Test is primarily used to assess a candidate's capacity for inventiveness. Two hours are allotted for the Situation Test, which assesses how well applicants utilize the materials given to them.

The test was administered in an offline format for those candidates who had been selected for further consideration and had taken part in the choice-filling process beginning in March.
