What is Ceramic Design?

Once the ceramic piece is created, it goes through a process of drying and then firing. The firing process is usually done in a kiln, which is a high-temperature oven. Firing can be done at different temperatures and for different lengths of time, depending on the type of clay and the desired final outcome. After the firing process, ceramic pieces can be glazed, which is a process of adding a layer of liquid glass that is applied to the surface of the ceramic piece. This layer can be decorated, colored, and patterned in many ways.
