WHAT IS NID?

NID stands for National Institute of design, is nationally as well as internationally one of the finest educational and research institution which provide Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated Design courses both for under-graduates and post-graduates and doctoral levels.

WHAT IS NID EXAM?

To get into NID, interested candidates need to crack NID DAT. NID conduct an entrance examination called NID DAT which is a design aptitude test every year to take admission in B. Des and M. Des courses at NID. Candidates, willing to pursue design courses, must apply for NID DAT to get admission at NID.

NID DAT is divided in to two different parts: NID prelims and NID Mains.

After qualifying NID prelims and then Mains, candidates need to crack studio test and personal interview round.

So, rather than basic eligibility criteria, the main criteria is to get a valid score or get.

Things you must carry with you to the exam hall

1. First and foremost thing you must carry is your admit card. Admit card is like a hall ticket to your exam hall. Without it you cant be allowed to sit in exam. So admit card is the most important thing you cant forgot at all.

2. The second thing you must carry is ID proof.  You must carry a valid ID proof with you to the exam hall along with admit card. It is as important as tour admit card to the exam hall. The ID proof can be- Passport, Voters ID card, PAN card, Driving license, Aadhaar card, Student ID card issued by current school/college.

3. Most important thing lastly is stationaries without which you cant give exam at all. Ruler, Sharpener, Eraser, Dry colours (oil pastels/ colour pencils/ sketch pens, etc.), Lead pencils (of varying grades), Black ballpoint pen (to mark the answers in the OMR sheet). These all are important for giving an exam.

4. Make sure you don’t carry any smartwatches, cell phones, or any other electronic device. These are not allowed to the exam hall.
