No, maths isn't important for UCEED. Candidates from any stream in their 10+2 examination can apply or eligible for UCEED.
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay conduct the national level examination UCEED which stands for Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, to take admission to the B. Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The admission will occur on the basis of UCEED 2023 scores through the joint seat allocation process. The entrance exam will be conducted in 24 cities across India.
UCEED is a total 3 hours exam of total 300 marks. UCEED divided into two parts- part A and Part B
Part A- this part is online computer based test which will consists questions like MCQ, MSQ, NAT. The duration for part A is for 2 hours and 30 mins. This part will have total 68 questions with the mask of 240.
Part B- this part is pen and paper based test which consists questions on sketching. This is basically a practical part. The time duration of this part is for 30 mins and will have 1 question of 60 marks. PwD candidates who are using the services of a scribe, no assistance in Part B will be permitted.
