The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) is the prestigious design school situated in New Delhi, know for their design and communication courses. IIAD New Delhi was named the "Best Communication Design College in India by Asia Today” at the Asian Education Summit and Awards 2021. The courses IIAD offers such as Fashion Designing, Communication Designing, Interior Architecture and Designing, Fashion Business Management, Fashion Communication, etc.
To do fashion desiging from IIAD, you need to be eligible. So, the eligibility criteria is-
To do fashion desiging, candidates have to go through the following entrance examinations:
IDAT: IIAD’s Design Aptitude Test is a written test to examine candidate’s creative and visual ability, cultural awareness and logical thinking. This paper consist visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers and multiple choice questions.
Personal interview: In Personal Interview candidates will have face to face interaction with IIAD to determine their stability. IIAD will guide the candidates about how the programme meet their aspirations and interests with understanding. Candidates have to go through this step after giving IMAT and IDAT for fashion design.
Studio simulation: It is a workshop where eligible candidates will form small groups and create a 3D model using given materials. This assessment is to determine the skills of making, creative thinking, problem-solving & team work within candidates.
Passing the entrance exam of your preferred course with marks which will match the cut off, will lead you to get selected for IIAD.
