How to do Fashion Design from FDDI?

To study fashion designing courses at FDDI, You have to give FDDI AIST which is FDDI's very own entrance examination. 

About FDDI

FDDI stands for Footwear Design & Development Institute is a design Institute which offers professional programmes in Footwear Design , Leather Goods & Accessory Design , Fashion Design , and Retail & Fashion Merchandise. FDDI have total 12 campuses all over India. FDDI conducts a national level entrance examination All India Selection Test (AIST) to offer admission to interested candidates. The examination is known as FDDI AIST. 

FDDI AIST eligibility criteria

To study in FDDI or any other college of your preference, you must check that college’s eligibility criteria. Here is the eligibility criteria of FDDI. If you think you are eligible, you can sit for FDDI AIST 2023.

• Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 examination in any stream from any recognized board such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or others. 
• Candidates who are Appearing for their Higher Secondary examination are eligible, but they need to give proof of having appeared for the examination during the Counselling part. 
• Final year graduation candidates can also apply, but they need to show their graduation degree or final mark sheet to their admission officer.
• Candidates with the age of 25 year in between 25th June 2023 only, are eligible. 
• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• proficiency in English, both written and oral is must which will help them during interview part. 

Application part 

According to the tentative dates, FDDI may release their application form for FDDI AIST 2023 on the first week of February 2023. The closing date of form fill up for FDDI AIST 2023 is last week of April 2023. The form fill up will be on online mode.

Step2. Login to that site
Step3. Open the form fill up section
Step4. Fill up the form with require documents
Step5. Fill captcha
Step6. Pay the application fees through credit, debit card or UPI. The fee for General/ OBC/ GEN-EWS candidates is Rs. 600.
step7. Download and print the form and submit it. 

FDDI AIST exam pattern. 

FDDI is a 2 and half hour's pen and paper based examination. The exam is of 200 marks which consist 150 questions and the medium of exam is in English.

The FDDI AIST question booklet has total 4 sections: 

SectionA- Quantitative aptitude which will consist 25 questions and each are of 2 marks. 
SectionB- verbal ability which conclude comprehension and grammar usage.  Comprehension will consist 10 questions each with 2 marks and grammar portion will consist 30 questions, each of 1 marks. 
SectionC- general awareness will consist 50 questions each of 1 marks. 
SectionD- business aptitude test will have 15 questions each of 2 marks and 20 questions each of 1 marks. 
There is no negative marking in FDDI AIST.
