A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) diploma in Design shall be awarded for a length of advanced learning that culminates with the plan of a contemporary solution/approach/method/interface for a product/ communication/service/experience alongside an accompanying thesis that extends the body of perception and the utility of plan thinking, process and practice.
The Ph.D. program in Design shall encompass the following precedence areas this year: Design Education (e.g., pedagogy, the graph for schools), Design Innovation (e.g., in Railways), Social Innovation (e.g., crafts and culture), and Design Practice.
The Ph.D. program in Design targets to promote deep reflection, inquiry, and rigor in the development and dissemination of new ideas, expressions, and competencies in the self-discipline of diagrams and allied fields and shall lead to their significant manifestations in the structure of new format collections, objects, communication, services, strategies, etc. The work shall contribute to new theories and understanding of design, diagram schooling, and format practice.
