How many times can I apply for the NATA entrance exam?

You can apply for NATA as many time as you want. Moreover there’s no age limit for NATA. 

About NATA

NATA, National aptitude test of architecture is an entrance exam which is conducted by National Institute of advanced studies in architecture (NIASA) the body of council of Architecture in India. This entrance exam is a national level examination. Students who are willing to study Bachelor of architecture or some other relevant architecture courses at all recognized institutions across India, can give NATA after their 12th examination.

NATA measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability by 2parted exams.

NATA exam pattern:

This year 2022 CoA conducted NATA 3 times. June 12, July 3 and July 24. Where as last year CoA conducted NATA 2 times. Candidates can apply for 1 exam only or can apply for 3 of them. 

Each exam will have 2 sessions. 

• Session 1 is for 180 mins or 3 hours 10:00 am. -1:00 pm. 
• Session 2 is fro 180 mins or 3 hours 2:30 pm- 5:30 pm. 

Each exam with 2 session obtain 200 marks with 125 questions. 

Questions pattern of exam

• first part- paper based drawing test and the
• second part- online test with MCQs on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Aptitude Test.

The aptitude test part of the exam consist multiple choice questions, multiple select questions, Preferential choice questions, numerical answer questions. Among 125 questions, some questions will hold 1,2 or 3 marks. 

Eligibility criteria for NATA

• Candidates who are willing to sit for NATA, must score 50% marks in their 10+2 examination. And also their 10+2 shall consist compulsory subjects Physics, chemistry and mathematics. 
• Candidates who have done their 10+3 diploma with compulsory subject mathematics and score 50% marks are also eligible. 
• Scoring 70 out of 200 in NATA will make candidate eligible to study architecture in any NATA affiliated college. To get admission at top notch colleges candidates need to score more than 120 at least.

NATA is an entrance exam to test your general ability, idea and knowledge. So don’t take pressure and give your best mind!
