How many days required to Prepare for UID?

Hi Rudra! The days you required to get prepare for UID DAT is completely depend on you. Here is the syllabus and exam pattern for you. Generally UID exams are easy. You just need to practice drawing and polish your creativity skills regularly. And have to practice lots of general aptitudes, mathematics, reasoning and General knowledge for the written part. How many days should be needed basically depends on your skills and how many days you have left for the exam. 

Here are the important dates for UID DAT 2023

• UID DAT application date- it has been already started. Hurry! Go get yourself enrolled. 
• UID DAT application last date- still not notified. Keep an eye on the site. 
• UID DAT admit card- still not notified. 
• UID DAT examination 2023- January 29, 2023, Sunday
• Result out- date will be declare right after the examination in over. 
• Situation Test (ST)/Portfolio Evaluation (PE) round- 2023, April
• 2nd round result- date will be declared after the 2nd round examination.

UID DAT

UID organise their own entrance examination, which is call UID DAT. DAT here stands for design aptitude test. UID DAT is to take admission of students who are willing to pursue UG, PG and PhD courses from UID. 

UID DAT EXAM PATTERN

UID DAT is a written test with the duration of 3 hours. This is a test to examine candidate's Design aptitude skills. This written paper will consist multiple choice type questions and subjective questions. 

MCQ TYPES OF QUESTIONS WILL BE ON:

• General Knowledge & IQ Test
• Creative & Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Ability/Numeracy Test
• Data Interpretation & Analytical Test

SUBJECTIVE OR DESCRIPTIVE TYPES QUESTIONS WILL BE ON:

• Comprehension
• Creative Thought Process
• Sense of Composition
• Sketching & Rendering
• Originality of Ideas
• Hand Skills

After clearing DAT candidates have to appear for 2 more rounds which are: situation test and portfolio evaluation. 

• Situation test- candidates will be given situations and they have to make models on the basis of that situation. Candidates have to sketch and answer to the given questions. 
• Portfolio evaluation- candidates in round 2 have to appear for a personal interview round where they have to show their portfolio.
