It is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University at Guntur. It offers full 4 years of Under-graduation courses such as B. Des in industrial design, B. Des in textile and apparel design, B. Des in communication design.
There is one and only way to get admission in NID Vijayawada as well as any campuses of NID, which is NID DAT. National Institute of design’s design aptitude test is a two stage national level Entrance examination, occur every year for admission of students in B. Des and M. Des courses provided by NID. This examination examines candidate's visualisation skills, creative & observation skills, knowledge, comprehension, analytical ability, et cetera.
