Yes, you can get admission in some private Architecture colleges with NATA score. But those colleges should be NATA affiliated.

What is NATA?

NATA stands for National aptitude test in Architecture. It is an entrance examination which is conducted by National Institute of advanced studies in architecture (NIASA) the body of council of Architecture in India (CoA). This entrance exam is a national level examination. Students who are willing to study Bachelor of architecture or some other relevant architecture courses at all recognized institutions across India, can give NATA after their 12th examination.

NATA measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability by 2parted exams.

Here are 5 Private architecture colleges in India which accept NATA score, so that you can get admission at them:

1. CEPT University, Ahmadabad-

Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology known as CEPT University, has ranked 4th in Architecture in India by NIRF and ranked 3rd by GSIRF, 2020. CEPT is a UGC recognized university and offers UG, PG and Research based programs in several fields.

Eligibility- Candidates must qualify 12th examination with mandatory Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or pass in 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory. Also have valid score in NATA.

B. Arch Course Fee- ₹3.2 Lakh, only for the 1st Year

 

2. BMS School of Architecture, Bangalore-

Established under BMS Educational Trust in 2010, BMS School of Architecture has ranked 18th by NIRF 2022. This private college is affiliated with the council of Architecture and do accept NATA’s score. It offers Bachelor’s in Architecture, Masters in Architecture and PhD programs.

Eligibility- candidates must obtain minimum 50% marks in 12th exams with mandatory chemistry, maths, and physics also the valid score of NATA.

B. Arch Course fee- ₹4 Lakh, only for the 1st Year.

 

3. Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra-

BIT Mesra is a PCI, AICTE, UGC, and NBA approved institute. The university offers applications for UG & PG courses also PhD programs. It was ranked 25 in Architecture colleges by NIRF 2022.

Eligibility- candidates must pass 10+2 examination also obtain valid score in NATA or JEE main.

B. Arch course fee- INR 17.32 Lakh.

 

4. The School Planning and Architecture (SPA), Mysore

SPA University was established in the year 2015-16 in the University of Mysore, Mysuru.  SPA provides two departments such as Planning and Architecture. The School of Planning and Architecture has been ranked seventh nationally by India Today in 2021.

Eligibility- Candidates must have score minimum 50% in their 12th examination and score valid marks in NATA.

B. Arch fee- ₹1.4 Lakh, only for the 1st Year.

 

5. Centre for Design Excellence (CODE), Jaipur-

CODE is constituted under Vivekananda Global University and known as one of the premier and preferred institutes of Design & Architecture Education in the country. CODE offers courses such as B. Des, M. Des, B. Des + MBA and B. Arch degrees, Diploma and PhD programs. CODE take admission for B. Arch degree on the basis of NATA and JEE Paper 2.

Eligibility- Candidates with a minimum score of 10+2 examinatio of 50% aggregate marks and a valid score in NATA or JEE Paper 2.

B. Arch Course fee- ₹1.38 Lakh for 1st Year.
