The Footwear & Product Development Institute (FDDI) is a top academic and training center devoted to the advancement and expansion of the retail, fashion merchandise, leather products, and fashion design industries. FDDI has a presence throughout all of India thanks to its twelve modern campuses.
The Footwear Design and Development Institute was founded in 1986 as a Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 with the goal of providing trained labour to the leather industry. According to the Footwear Design and Development Institute Act of 2017, the institute was designated as a "Institution of National Importance" in 2017. The institute has campuses throughout India, including Noida, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Guna, Patna, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Ankleshwar.
FDDI offers a wide range of professional programmes in the areas of Footwear Design & Production Management, Creative Designing CAD/CAM, Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management, Leather Goods & Accessories Design, Fashion Design and Business Management, and so on, supplying the industry with trained high-class professionals, managers, fashion Designers, technologists, and so on.
