For Bachelor's or diploma programmes, candidates must have completed the 12th grade or equivalent from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks.

A graduation degree from a recognised university is required for Postgraduate courses.

To be able to study gemology, the candidate must be at least 18 years old. The age requirement has no upper limit.
