In the NIFT CAT exam, there is no negative marking. For the GAT exam, however, each incorrect answer results in a 0.25-point deduction.
For the CAT and GAT, the NIFT exam marking scheme differs. Candidates are graded on a scale of 100 in the NIFT CAT exam. In the GAT exam, applicants receive one point for each correct answer and 0.25 points for each incorrect answer they choose.
