Hi Riya! NID do not provide B. FTech course. Rather NIFT provide B. FTech course. Here is the eligibility criteria for both NID and B. FTech. 

ABOUT NID 

NID stands for national Institute of design, which is undoubtedly the leading Institute of design in India. NID is nationally as well as internationally well acclaimed one of the finest educational and research institution which provide Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated Design courses both for under-graduates and post-graduates and doctoral levels.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA-

To take admission or to get a chance to study at NID you need to match their eligibility criteria first. For that eligibility criteria are-

  • Candidates who wants to study B. Des, must pass their 12th examination. And for M. Des candidates needs to pass graduation. 
  • B.des age limit-For Indian general category students upper age limit is 20 years, OBC/ NCL/ ST/ SC is 23 years and For PwD candidates upper age limit is 25 years.
  • M. Des age limit- For Indian general category students- upper age limit is 30 years, For OBC/ NCL/ ST/ SC- upper age limit is 33 years, For PwD candidates- upper age limit is 35 years. 
  • Both B. Des and M. Des candidates must pass and get a relevant score in NID DAT prelims and Mains. 
  • Weightage for B. Des- For prelims it will be 40% and for mains it will be 60%. Weightage for M. Des- From Prelims it will be 30% and for Main's studio test will be 40% and interview will be 30%.
  • After qualifying NID DAT you can get admission to NID as per your performed score.

ABOUT B. FTECH COURSE

B. FTech stands for Bachelor in Fashion Technology is a 4-year under graduation specialisation course that deals with the various technical aspects related with Apparel-designing sector. Through this course will teach about apparel manufacturing processes, quality control, management and the applications of information technology and artificial intelligence which will require for apparel-manufacturing sectors. 
The average fee to pursue B. FTech Course starts from approximately INR 40,000 to INR 2,70,000. B. FTech is a 4 months course which includes eight semesters, with the program for both theoretical and practical aspects of learning. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO STUDY B. FTECH-

Candidates who are willing to study B. FTech, must check out the eligibility criteria first. Such criteria are given below-

  • Candidates must score at least 50% in their 12th standard from any recognized board, which must include subjects such as physics, chemistry and maths. 
  • Admission to most of the B.FTech programs in the country are done on the basis of NIFT entrance examination. The General Ability Test (GAT) to take admission to B. FTech which is conducted by NIFT at the national level. GAT is to test the general aptitude of the candidates for the program. 
  • The candidates will be offered for the admission to the colleges to study B. FTech will be basis on the NIFT GAT score and rank. 
  • There are some other institutions which take admission on the basis of the candidate's score of their 12th standard. To it is also important to score above cutoff in 12th, to get admission in the preferred college.

So if you want to study B. FTech course you have to go for NIFT rather than NID.
