INTRODUCTION TO TDV

TDV or The design village is a college for Design based in Delhi. It offers under graduation and post graduation degrees in collaboration with Shri Venkateshwara University. This college holds B. Des and M. Des admission examination every year. Candidates who finished their Intermediate and graduation examinations are eligible to give the TDV exam for B. Des and M. Des. 
TDV organise an entrance examination every year to take admission of B. Des and M. Des applicants. To get admission at TDV, TDV entrance is the only gate way. But the admission process is slightly different for Under graduate applicants as well as post graduate applicants.

Specialisation Courses offer by TDV

Under graduation courses-

  • Interaction and UX design- this course teaches students about designing and developing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services responding to our changing environment. Course fee is INR 18,50,000 for four years which includes tuition fees. 
  • Space and interior design- in this course students are being taught about how to design spaces and idea of interior design, also give a knowledge about their visualisation power. The course fee is INR 18,50,000 for four years and includes the tuition fee for an international semester.
  • Graphic and communication design- This course is an undergraduate programme in which students are being learnt in- depth about the field Graphic design. they learn about character design, motion of objects, the basics of timing, creating key frames and animating between them. The course fee is INR 18,50,000 for four years and includes the tuition fee for an international semester.
  • Fashion and textile design- this course at TDV helps students to gain in-depth knowledge and perspective of the field fashion and textile design . The course fees here is again INR 18,50,000
  • Product design- in this course students are being taught about how to redesign or do styling exercises to question the context, the use, the meaning and associations of each product and its purpose.
  • Transportation and mobility design- This course at TDV helps students to learn about styling course that focuses merely on form explorations; it deals with issues of mobility while keeping in mind vehicular aerodynamics. It also focuses on exploring new ways of mobility. Course fee is INR 18,50,000 for four years which includes tuition fees. 

Post graduation courses-

  • Graphic and communication design- M. Des in this course will help students to more in depth knowledge about what they have learnt in B. Des of Graphic and communication course. This course will cost INR 10,00,000 for two years and includes the tuition fee in TDV. 
  • Space and interior design- M. Des in this course will help students to gain more knowledge about space and interior design and will open up more opportunities. It’s a 2 year course at TDV which will cost INR 10,00,000.
  • Fashion and textile design- M. Des in this course will provide student a expert field to gain more knowledge as a fashion and textile designer. It’s a 2 years course which will again cost INR 10,00,000.
  • Product design- M. Des in this course will teach students more deeply about product designing which will help to open up more career options. It’s a 2 year course which will cost 10,00,000.
